Danang Fireworks Festival Location
The Danang International Fireworks Festival 2024 continues to take place beside the Han River—an icon of Da Nang coastal city. In particular, they set up the stage and grandstand area on the pavement of Tran Hung Dao Street.
Take a specific look at its location on the following map:
Best Public Places To Watch Da Nang Fireworks
If you can’t afford a ticket to the Da Nang International Firework Festival, there are public places where you can relish the performances from a distance. Although you can’t be close enough for every moment, these spots can give you panoramic views of the fireworks when they light up into the sky.
It would be nice for those who just want to stroll along the river and relish dazzling bursts. We recommend the below vantage points where you can embrace the eye-catching sights of the fireworks:
Bridges Along The Han River
Da Nang is known as a “bridges city,” with six bridges crossing the Han River. Thus, you can choose a spot on the Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, or Thuan Phuoc Bridge to enjoy the fireworks.

Many locals love these spots because they can savor the cool river atmosphere, Da Nang by night, and the spectacular fireworks in the dark sky. Yet, it might be crowded, and there are no chairs. Plus, several drink stalls with chairs are available.
Tran Hung Dao Street
Tran Hung Dao Street is the closest place to the stage, so it will provide the clearest view. However, as its location is too advantageous, many people will flock here. If you want to get a good spot, you should arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour early.
Bach Dang Street
Bach Dang Street is on the other bank of the Han River, opposite to Tran Hung Dao Street. Hence, it also gives tourists some good spots to watch the fireworks display. You should move abreast of the Han River to enjoy both low-range and high-range firework shots.
Moreover, they might set up a large screen on this road for the festival’s live broadcast. Thus, you can track the event indirectly through this channel.
Cruises On The Han River
A more advanced option is to join a cruise around the Han River. It will give visitors a different experience when watching fireworks displays. When it brings you across the river and colorful bridges, you can watch fireworks in the open sky without any vision blocks.
Cruises on the Han River also serve dinners. Therefore, it promises an amazing experience. Its price ranges from 400,000 to 600,000 per person. You should reserve a place, as it usually runs out of tickets.
Hotels With Good Views Of The Fireworks Festival
Besides the public spaces, you can enjoy the Da Nang Fireworks Festival at a private place. There are several towering hotels along the Han River for visitors to stay during their Da Nang visit and watch the fireworks right from their hotel rooms.
We suggest accommodations with rooftops, such as:
- Novotel Danang Premier Han River (36 Bach Dang Street)
- Hilton Da Nang Hotel (50 Bach Dang Street)
- Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront (341 Tran Hung Dao Street)
- Wyndham Danang Golden Bay (01 Le Van Duyet Street)
- Vanda Hotel Danang (03 Nguyen Van Linh Street)
- Avora Hotel (170 Bach Dang Street)
- Memory Lounge (07 Bach Dang Street)
These hotels boast great rooftop bars or swimming pools and various rooms with nice views of the Han River. You can relish an imposing vista of the “light festival” in a relaxing, private space.

However, hotels tend to run out of rooms during the Da Nang Fireworks Festival due to the large number of tourists. Thus, make sure you book a room in advance to avoid higher prices and sold-outs.
Tips For Danang International Fireworks Festival
Arrive Early
Whether you have entrance tickets or just watch it from the outside, an early arrival is wise. For those with tickets, if you show up early, around 15–20 minutes, the staff will arrange a good spot for you first. You will have some time to get ready before the show starts.
Similarly, if you watch the fireworks at a public place, such as Tran Hung Dao Street or Han River Bridge, you should also come up early, 30 minutes or 1 hour in advance. As the locals and tourists will soon crowd these places, the earlier you come, the better view you will get.
Additionally, please note that some streets, such as Bach Dang Street, Tran Phu Street, and the streets between them, will be unavailable 2–3 hours before the show. Thus, spare more time for transport to the festival’s place.
Track The Weather Forecast
Da Nang comes to its dry season in June and July, so it’s usually sunny and hot. However, small downpours might occur in the evening. Therefore, you should track the weather forecast before going and take a rain poncho or umbrella with you just in case.
Bring Snacks And Drinks
You should bring some light snacks and drinks along, in case you get thirsty or hungry, which might interfere with your experience during the festival. Several stalls are available, but they might overcharge you. It’s better to bring your own food. However, please do not litter by any means.
Other Tips
- We recommend comfortable clothes and sports shoes when you attend the festival. It’s an event with a large number of participants, so you shouldn’t burden yourself with bulky clothes or other items.
- You shouldn’t bring valuable accessories and items to avoid pickpockets.
- If you go with kids, please supervise them carefully. It’s easy for kids to get lost in such a crowded event.
- If your legs ache when watching the show from the outside on Tran Hung Dao Street, rental plastic stools are available for 15,000–20,000 VND.
Conclusion
The Danang International Fireworks Festival is one of the biggest and most significant events during summer tourism in Da Nang. It has made a great contribution to Da Nang’s position and identity on tourism maps. Obviously, it helps Da Nang City stand out as the top event-festival destination in Asia.
