MEKONG DELTA TOUR 1 DAY

At 8:00 am, our local tour guide and minivan will pick you up at your hotel/ homestay or Airbnb in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and we start the Mekong Delta Tour 1 Day. It will take us around an hour and 45 minutes to travel to My Tho- known as the largest “rice bowl” of Southern Vietnam. Our excellent tour guide will give you some general information about the tour itinerary, local culture, and customs.

Upon arrival at Can Tho, we will visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a sacred and beautiful Buddhist temple in the South of Vietnam. It is famous for a great blend of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Chinese architecture and features.

After that, we will take a sampan boat to go through the water coconut, and palm forests in the river and canal systems in the delta region. This is a wonderful way to admire the Mekong Delta, enjoy the great views, and learn deeply about the local daily life, and activities.

Our local guide will help you to interact with the locals, we will visit some handicraft works and local family businesses of making coconut candies, honey farms, and crispy rice cakes. You will have a chance to learn how to make them under the guidance of the villagers and support from our knowledgeable tour guide.

On our Classic Mekong Delta Tour full day, we will have a nice lunch cooked by the local chefs and take a break in an authentic restaurant with Southern Vietnam specialties.

After lunch, we continued the Mekong Delta Group Tour to wander around the local orchard gardens with many kinds of seasonal fruits. Tasting some fresh fruits from their gardens and listening to the traditional music performed by the villagers.
