CAO DAI TEMPLE AND CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR DETAILS
In the morning
At 8:00 am, our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Districts 1, 3 and 5 in Ho Chi Minh City. Then we will begin the tour with the first destination, Cao Dai Temple. On the way to Cao Dai Temple, our local tour guide will explain the itinerary and give some regulations about this place.
Cao Dai Temple is in Hoa Thanh District, Tay Ninh Province. It takes about 2 hours to travel by car from Saigon. Here, you will discover the worshipping culture of Caodaism, a religion that worships the Eye of God. Under the Divine Eye, every religion is worshipped equally. Also, we will attend the noontime ceremony held by Cao Dai’s followers.
In the afternoon
Around 11:30 am, we will have lunch at a local restaurant and take a short break. After that, we will head up Cu Chi Tunnels. It is about 50 kilometres from Cao Dai Temple to Cu Chi Tunnels. This is a fascinating underground system with a total length of about 250 kilometres. It has a significant role in the victory of Vietnamese people in the Anti-American War For National Salvation.
Going inside the tunnels, you will explore an incredible world under the ground since 1961. By discovering this place firsthand and the explanation from the tour guide, you will understand deeper about the harsh times of Vietnamese people and the bravery of Vietnamese soldiers. Additionally, there are more activities like watching a documentary about Cu Chi Tunnel history, tasting the local war food, or trying to shoot a real gun (optional, self-payment if you want some bullets).
If you have a shortage of time, you can request us via WhatsApp for a short trip to Cao Dai Temple. And if you feel more excited about the Cu Chi Tunnels, we also provide a half-day tour to visit Cu Chi Tunnels.
About 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm, our driver will bring you back to your location in Ho Chi Minh City.
