What To Expect From Hung Thoong Exploration Trip?

Since this is the first time tourism has been established here, the cave system of Hung Thoong still retains its unspoiled beauty. Its diverse terrain challenges every conqueror, from forest trails to rocky mountains, underground lakes, and dry caves.

Hung Thoong Exploration 3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary

Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hung Cave – Tron Cave – Hung Thoong Diving Lake

8:00: At your place in Phong Nha, a driver and tour guide will pick you up and head to the tour operation unit. Then the guide will inform you of the schedule, regulations, environmental protection, and safety rules.

8:30: After that, the car will take you along Road 20 Victory to the starting point of your trek at the edge of the forest. Safety equipment will be provided when you arrive.

9:00: When reaching the starting point, you will walk through the dense jungle to reach Hung Thoong Cave.

10:30: This trek takes 17km and lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes. Then you will reach the first stop – the “Nightmare” Sinkhole which is 250m deep.

11:00: After your rest at this fantastic spot for 30 minutes, the journey continues with a trek through the jungle to reach Hung Thoong Lake.

12:00: At that cool and fresh lake, you will stop to have a lunch picnic prepared by our team. And you can take a short noon break to recharge for your next trip in the afternoon.

14:00 – 17:00: Then you will start your 1.2km swim through Tron Cave and explore the beauty of this cave.

17:00: After Tron Cave, you will reach Hung Cave and make your first camp at Hung Thoong Diving Lake. Our team will be mainly responsible for the camp set up, cooking and other things.

18:00 – 21:00: By this wonderful lake, it’s time for you to enjoy the first dinner of Hung Thoong exploration for 3 days and 2 nights.

Day 2: Hung Thoong Diving Lake – Mooc Spring – Ma Da Valley

8:00: Starting from the Hung Thoong Diving Lake, you will have breakfast and prepare to explore the next location – Mooc Spring.

9:00 – 11:00: To get there, you will continue to walk along Hung Thoong Lake to reach Mooc Spring Phong Nha.

11:30: After the long trek, you will have lunch at Mooc Spring Hung Thoong and enjoy this place. You can discover around, bathe, and swim at Mooc Spring.

13:00 – 15:00: Next, you proceed to conquer the route to Thung Cave. You will experience thrilling 25-meter abseiling down its underground river, where you will immerse yourself in the crystal-clear water. Despite the challenging route there, the breathtaking beauty of Thung Cave will satisfy you.

15:00 – 16:30: Then, you will continue the Hung Thoong Cave exploration by walking through the jungle to Ma Da Valley.

17:00 – 18:00: You make your second camp at the amazing Ma Da Valley. In its fresh lake, you are free to bathe and swim to cool down after the tiring Thung Cave exploration.

18:00 – 21:00: Again, our support team will prepare a delicious dinner for you to enjoy.

Day 3: Ma Da Valley – Ho Chi Minh Road

8:00: You will have breakfast at the Ma Da Valley.

9:00: After you are ready, your trip across the jungle starts. On the way, you will stop to enjoy the last meal.

12:00: Next, through the jungle, you will arrive at Ho Chi Minh Road – the last point of your Hung Thoong Exploration 3 Days 2 Nights. Your private car driver will transfer you back to the tour operation unit. It’s the end of your experience with the Hung Thoong Exploration trip!
